Faculty & Staff

Welcome, Trinity Faculty and Staff!

We hope that you are finding the tools and resources within our new virtual Career & Life Design platform to be valuable, especially as you continue to support and advise Trinity students and alumni. As our campus partners, please let us know if we can clarify any information or explain any of the resources shared on these pages.

Opportunities for Collaboration

We are always looking for ways to collaborate! Our team would appreciate the opportunity to give a presentation to your class about our coaching services, skills development and practice, and career-related topics. Please let us know if you’re interested, or share ideas to collaborate, by contacting us at careers@trincoll.edu.

“Thank you again- so very much- for taking the time to speak with my FYSM students this morning… I wanted to show them all of the available resources right away! And I have to tell you how impressive and informative it was for me, too, as an instructor. I am positively evangelical about the work you and your colleagues do.  I have always introduced my students to what was formerly known as ‘career services,’ but the range of resources and support now is just amazing.”

– Julia Assaiante, Senior Lecturer in Language and Culture Studies

Did You Know?

Handshake is the online platform that Trinity students use for scheduling coaching appointments, career and life design resources, internship and job searches, and more. By logging in and filling out their Handshake profile, students can receive tailored marketing of events, internships, and jobs.

Are you looking to hire students for next semester? We encourage all faculty and staff to post available student employment positions in Handshake, by completing and submitting this form. For questions about on-campus jobs and postings in Handshake, please contact Katie Franklin at Campus-jobs@trincoll.edu.

Faculty Partners Newsletters

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

I hope the semester is going well. I would like to share some exciting updates from the Career & Life Design Center.

We have been working closely with many of your students through our Career Studio, coaching appointments, and employer events. We value your partnership in advising students on their career goals, and one of the ways we can provide support is by offering you a Handshake account so that you have access to a myriad of career resources. Please email us at careers@trincoll.edu if you wish to request a faculty/campus partner Handshake account.

I am also excited to officially introduce our new Alumni Career Consultant, Paul Gagnon. Paul has been meeting with Trinity alums, virtually, for a few months now, coaching them through various career-related topics. Since you are still connected with many of our Trinity alums, it is important that you know about this resource, and we appreciate you sharing it with them.

In an effort to gather more alumni data to show the value of a Trinity degree, we are once again partnering with the Career Leadership Collective on sending the National Alumni Career Mobility survey to 2019, 2017, 2012, and 2007 graduates. Should you be in touch with alums from any of those class years, please encourage them to share their feedback by completing the survey by January 15, 2023.

Lastly, I would like to invite you to meet our team at a complimentary Peter B’s Pop-Up Coffee Hour on Thursday, November 10th during Common Hour (from 12:15-1:15pm) at the Cornelia Center. This will be a wonderful opportunity to discuss how we can collaborate in the future – for example, leading a First Year Seminar Workshop about Career & Life Design. Hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

Joseph M. Catrino
Executive Director of Career & Life Design
