Four positions are available:
- Trinity in Rome Program Ambassador
- Trinity in Cape Town Program Ambassador
- Trinity in Vienna Program Ambassador
- Trinity/ La Mama Program Ambassador
Office of Study Away (OSA) Program Ambassadors will assist the OSA in the promotion and support of one of Trinity’s Signature Programs (Rome, Vienna, Cape Town, and La MaMa), including the recruitment of Trinity students, assistance with pre-departure orientation and returnee welcome events, and showcasing student experiences via social media and on-campus social events.
Applicants must have participated in the Trinity Program for which they will serve as Program Ambassador. The Program Ambassador position aims to be a pre-professional training opportunity for careers in the international education and/or services fields. Program Ambassadors will have opportunities to design and deliver promotional events, to learn best practices in social media and digital storytelling, and to advise students of the benefits of study away experiences.
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Be able to work an average 4-5 hrs/week (some weeks will be more labor-intensive than others),
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
- Demonstrated experience in taking initiative in project development,
- Proficiency in social media and desktop publishing (blogs, websites, or other virtual platforms),
- Capacity for reflection on one’s own learning experiences, and understanding the diverse learning styles and goals of peer students,
- Sensitivity and understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality and respect for peers in an advising and support relationship.
4-5 hours per week average (mostly flexible), bi-weekly team meetings to be scheduled once hired.
