Program Ambassadors will assist the OSA with promoting and recruiting Trinity’s Signature Programs (Rome, Vienna, Cape Town) and AEPs (Approved External Programs), helping with event planning, facilitating and presenting at pre-departure orientation and returned student events, creating promotional materials, developing digital campaigns and social media, and providing day-to-day administrative support with tasks such as greeting walk-ins, providing 1:1 and group peer advising sessions, and assisting with campus visitors.
The Program Ambassador position aims to be a pre-professional training opportunity for careers in marketing and international education and/or services fields. Interns will have opportunities to design and deliver promotional events, learn best practices in social media and digital storytelling, and advise students of the benefits of study away experiences.
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Must have participated in a study away semester-long program
- Be able to work an average of 3 hours/wk
- Strong communication skills and/or interest in developing skills in facilitation, public speaking, and advising.
- Demonstrated experience in taking initiative in creative project development,
- Social media experience; familiarity with social media platforms and strategies,
- Capacity for reflection on one’s own learning experiences, and understanding the diverse learning styles and goals of peer students,
- Sensitivity and understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality and respect for peers in an advising and support relationship.
