The Student Government Association (SGA) is a student run organization whose primary responsibility is to provide for the general welfare of the student body. Over the years, the SGA has grown to encompass all aspects of student life, from academic to social. The SGA works closely with the Trinity College administration, faculty, staff and Trustees to ensure that student voices are heard and student interests are served. Governed by a constitution – written and approved by students – the SGA is a democratically elected organization.
The SGA is comprised of four student senators and President from each class and five members of the executive board, which consist of the president of the organization and four vice presidents. All senators and officers are elected by the student body to carry out the responsibilities set forth in our constitution.
All of us at SGA are elected to represent you. We are here to listen to you and address your concerns. Our sole job is to make student life better in every aspect. Our goal is to be straightforward, transparent and relevant to the student body. In order to fulfill our goal, we need your participation. Explore this website to learn more about SGA and how you can contribute. Over the year, we will be sharing with you information about projects that we are working on, service we are providing, and ways you can get involved with both the SGA and various faculty committees.
We would love hear to hear from you. Send us your comments and suggestions. Feel free to come to our senate meetings, which are open to the entire student body. This website offers a variety of services, provides important information such as records and senate meeting minutes, and has a blog where students can create posts or join in on conversations. You can also see who your representatives are and ways to contact them. We want to hear from you.
